Recommendations for recognition and crediting procedures
Project duration: 2014 – 2016
Together with eleven higher education institutions from the four higher education sectors, AQ Austria carried out an exchange of experiences and the development of recommendations on procedures and instruments for the recognition and crediting of non-formally and informally acquired competences in higher education.
The objective of this project was to contribute to permeability via recognition and crediting of non-formal and informal competences, to create awareness of the need for recognition and crediting of non-formal and informal competences and to promote quality assurance in recognition and crediting. It was emphasised that - despite the project focus on higher education - quality assurance is an indispensable prerequisite in all procedures, regardless of the sectors and levels of education, and therefore the recommendations can and should be incorporated into the design of all procedures.
