Declaration on the obligation to provide information (Data Protection Declaration)

The protection of your personal data is of particular concern to the Agency for Quality Assurance and Accreditation Austria (AQ Austria). Generally, the use of AQ Austria‘s website is possible without revealing any personal data. We only collect personal data, which is technically necessary, e.g. if you sign up for AQ Austria‘s newsletter or contact us via e-mail.

Therefore, whenever we process your personal data, the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), DPA (Data Protection Act) or TKG 2003 (Telecommunications Act) provide the legal grounds. With this Data Protection Declaration we want to inform you about the most important aspects of the processing of your data when visiting our website.

Contacting us

If you contact us per e-mail, the data you provide will be saved by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and for follow-up requests. How long we store the information depends on the type of enquiry. Information that does not concern our statutory tasks is stored for no longer than six months. Enquiries related to our statutory tasks are stored as specified in the applicable laws.

Cookies

This website uses cookies. We use cookies to personalize content and advertisements and to analyze access to our website.

Cookies are small text files that are used by websites to make the user experience more efficient.

According to Section 96 (3) of the Telecommunications Act 2003 (TKG 2003), we can store cookies on your device if they are absolutely necessary for the operation of this website. We need your permission for all other types of cookies.

This site uses different types of cookies.

You can change or withdraw your consent from the cookie declaration on our website at any time.

For more information on cookies and how to change your preferences, see cookie Information

Web analysis

Our website uses functions of the web analysis service Matomo (formerly Piwik) from InnoCraft Ltd., 150 Willis St, 6011 Wellington, New Zealand. Matomo is a self-hosted, privacy compliant web analysis platform.

Cookies are also used for this, which enable an analysis of the use of the website. For this purpose, the usage information generated by cookies (including your abbreviated IP address) is transferred to our server and stored for usage analysis purposes, which we use to optimize our website. Your IP address is recorded during this process, but pseudonymized immediately. The last six digits of the IP address are not displayed, such as 192.168.xxx.xxx. This means that only a rough localization is possible. The usage information generated in this way is only stored on the AQ Austria server. The usage information generated in this way is not transmitted to third parties.

You can decide whether the usage information from your visit to our website is saved. When you visit our website, your data will only be saved and used if you tick the "Statistics" box in the cookie preferences.

The data processing takes place on the basis of the legal provisions of § 96 Abs 3 TKG as well as Art 6 Abs 1 lit a (consent) and / or f (legitimate interest) of the GDPR. Our concern within the meaning of the GDPR (legitimate interest) is to improve our services and our website. Since the privacy of our users is important to us, the user data is pseudonymized. The user data are kept for a period of six months.
