Call for Contributions: European RPL Week 2026

TO THE CALL FOR CONTRIBUTIONS

The European Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Network invites organisations and individuals across Europe to contribute events and activities as part of European RPL Week 2026, taking place from 9–13 November 2026.

European RPL Week will showcase Recognition of Prior Learning through a diverse programme of online and in-person activities designed to raise awareness, share practice, and support engagement with RPL across different sectors and communities.

We welcome contributions that speak to a wide range of audiences, including learners, educators, employers, practitioners, policymakers, and community organisations.

Contributions may include webinars, workshops, case studies, public talks, open days, information sessions, industry showcases, peer learning events, social media campaigns, or other activities that support understanding and implementation of RPL.

Suggested themes include:

  • Validation of non-formal and informal learning
  • RPL for employment and career advancement
  • AI and digitalisation in RPL processes
  • Inter-institutional recognition practices
  • RPL for entry, advanced entry, exemptions, and progression

Participating organisations will organise, fund, and host their own events. The European RPL Network will support visibility by promoting activities through a shared European RPL Week schedule and associated communications.

Key Dates:

  • 30 September 2026: Deadline for contribution proposals
  • 8 October 2026: Draft schedule and Save the Date published
  • 22 October 2026: Final schedule published
  • 9–13 November 2026: European RPL Week 2026
