Annual Report 2025 of AQ Austria published

AQ Austria's 2025 Annual Report provides a comprehensive overview of the key developments, projects, and procedures of the past year and documents the agency's wide-ranging activities in the field of external quality assurance and quality development in the Austrian higher education sector.
A total of 149 review procedures were completed during the reporting year. At the same time, significant quality improvements were made to external quality assurance, including the introduction of new accreditation decrees that provide greater flexibility in the procedures and better adapt them to the specific context.
A major milestone was the successful completion of the first audit cycle at all Austrian university colleges of teacher education. In addition, international cooperation continued to grow in importance, particularly in connection with procedures under the European Approach for joint degree programs.
Other key topics included academic and artistic integrity, the recognition of non-formal and informal learning, and digitalization.
The annual report highlights how AQ Austria, as a flexible, interconnected, and future-oriented organization, works together with its stakeholders to promote quality, transparency, and the sustainable quality improvement of higher education.
