This report sets out to examine how RPL is applied for access to higher education across European countries, what it is useful for, and why it should be promoted. Following a definition of RPL for access and a discussion of its impact and challenges, the report presents case examples from Austria, Ireland, Malta, Poland, Scotland and Sweden and reflects on the results of discussions held during the virtual conference in November 2025.
